a series of bodies, of sculptural vessels,
shaped by hand from dense stoneware clay.
not thrown but constructed in sections,
stacked and merged into a unified form.
the surfaces are coated in a blue glaze
made with an iron oxide and feldspathic base,
fired in oxidation until smooth and glassy.
beneath the skin, the weight remains,
each piece holds traces of its making:
asymmetry, pressure, resistance.
not designed to serve, but to stand.
vertical, indivisible.
