jona lepori (b. 1993) lives and works between lugano and locarno, switzerland.

his practice moves between objects and observances: forms made to hold weight and time, attention and presence. mostly working with wood, metal, ceramic and concrete, he develops objects and structures that try to exist somewhere between use and pause.

rather than beginning with a fixed concept or a narrative based necessity, the work starts from material, proportion, and repetition. each object is approached as a physical presence and meant to be encountered, handled, and maybe lived with.

lepori works from his atelier in brione s/m, an old cellar used as both workshop and quiet space. alongside this practice, tattooing remains a parallel field explored in his studio in lugano. a permanent mark, carried on the body and shaped through the same attention to details and restraint.
