Observances are ways of paying attention.

A tattoo, an object, a repeated gesture. Something carried, worn, placed, marked or used. Some works suggest rituals. Others simply ask to be noticed, handled or lived with. Their meaning may come from use, repetition, time, or from the person who encounters them.

This practice moves between objects, images, symbols, texts and tattooing, with other occasional deviations of thought. Nothing here requires a particular reading or use. And in the end, what something becomes is left to the person who encounters it.
