a series of sculptural forms
composed from discarded parts,
ceramic shards, plastic tubes, scrap wood and metal,
fused and concealed under a hand-worked surface
of acrylic resin, fine sand, and latex paint.
what was once fractured, cheap, or overlooked
is now reconstituted into a single body.
each form stands upright,
silent and unified, like a sentry.
the skin is rough, aged, almost geological
a fiction of antiquity, masking the trivial.
these objects are not what they seem:
they hold no function, yet feel essential.
